Humane Society of Central Oregon

buzztag-central-oregon-humane-society-adopt-a-shelter-pet-dayIt's not very often you don't hear thunderous snoring at Buzztag. Where does it come from? Buzztag's 15-pound CEO (Canine Executive Officer), Lola. When she's not here, we may have Lorraine's bunnies hopping around, Ariana's Pitbull, Mollie, begging for treats or Taygan's cat, Connor, purring.

Despite the distractions, these animals bring so much joy to all of our lives, and we believe ALL animals deserve a loving home. Buzztag has teamed up with the Humane Society of Central Oregon in an effort to raise awareness about rescuing animals and National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day.

The Humane Society usually houses between 50-60 animals. Communications and Outreach Manager Lynne Ouchida says most of the shelter animals are there because of situations that didn't allow the former owners to keep their pets.

According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters every year. Of those, roughly 1.5 million are euthanized.

Buzztag believes these animals deserve to snuggle, steal socks and stroll around on walks. You can't buy love, but you can rescue it.

Take a look at the cats the Humane Society currently has, or the dogs waiting to be taken to their furever home. Adopt a pet today.

In addition to raising awareness, Buzztag has also donated swag to the non-profit.
